Another outreach that the Lord has entrusted to us is the Wedding Ministry.  The institution of marriage dates all the way back to Adam and Eve.  Jesus even performed his first miracle at a wedding.  In today's times, the greatest miracle is for a person to accept Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior and begin a personal relationship with Him.  The largest groups of unsaved people attend two major functions, funerals and weddings.  Higher Calling has accepted the calling to be available to those desiring to accept the Lord at those functions.  We perform weddings in the highways and byways, not just the cathedrals and chapels.  We are available, provide an opportunity and the Lord does the rest.  As a result many come to Christ.  We don't try to recruit them to our ministry or church, but rather to a personal relationship with the Lord, Jesus Christ.  We encourage them to join a local body of believers in their community.

The Late Bishop Janet served as the overseer for this evangelistic outreach ministry but since her death in January 3, 2006.  Bishop Sylvester Jordan has taken the reigns of this ministry .  The Lord has entrusted this responsibility to him.   This ministry is a group of anointed ministers, ministering wedding vows throughout the state of Texas, Oklahoma, Georgia, Maryland, Washington D.C. and  Florida.   Bishop Sylvester Jordan performs weddings in the following areas Houston,  Galveston areas, Corpus Christi and Port Aransas, and the Mustang Island areas.  Elder Walter Jacobs serves the Oklahoma area. Pastor Eunice Gallets serves as the officiant in Florida.  Minister Bonnie Costley serves the Baltimore, Washington D.C. areas.    We have several Ministers and Pastors in training to serve in the wedding ministry.  So, we may be in a community near you soon.

These Higher Calling ministers walk in a very special anointing.  Sometimes the services are only attended by the bride and groom and the minister, but the Lord, Jesus Christ always shows up to minister in a way like no other.  Our desire is to leave a lasting impression upon them that they have had a very special touch from the Lord as in Matt 18:20.  Many contact us later on about attending Proverbs 31 and Men of Excellence workshops.
